From December 10th to 16th, 2011, Vice President Li Jinchang accompanied by 11 other delegates, paid a visit to Southern Taiwan University of Technology ( STUT), National Taiwan Normal University ( NTNU), National Chi Nan University ( NCNU), Fu Jen Catholic University (FJU) and College of Bio-resources and Agriculture of National Taiwan University (NTU) on invitation.
The delegation first visited STUT. Founded in 1969, STUT ranked on top of all the technical universities in Taiwan. President Dai Qian and Vice President Wu Xinxing of STUT cordially welcomed the delegation and introduced in detail the history and talent cultivating modes of the university. Both sides exchanged ideas on strengthening industry-university cooperation and reached preliminary intention of collaboration from faculty and student communication to academic exchanges.
The visiting delegation was also warmly welcomed by Lin Dongtai, Vice President of NTNU. Both parties had in-depth discussion on school-running concept, administrative system and talent cultivating modes. Founded in 1946, NTNU has the longest history and the largest number of students among all the normal universities in Taiwan. Two students and one teacher of ZJSU are studying in NTNU under our cooperative relationship. Our delegation visited them and talked with them about their study and life and listened to their suggestions on the exchange program.
The delegation paid special visit to the school of management of NCNU and acquired comprehensive knowledge concerning their setting of the department, teaching model for undergraduates and EMBA teaching mode. They also visited Faculty Development Center and Sports Health Center of NCNU. Both sides exchanged ideas on faculty and students communication.
The delegation also paid visit to Professor Xu Yuantai, Dean of College of Bio-resources and Agriculture of NTU and Professor Xie Bangchang, head of Graduate Business School of Fu Jen Catholic University. The two sides reached preliminary intention of cooperation on faculty academic exchange and students�joint cultivating project.
The visit provided the delegates with in-depth knowledge of higher education system in Taiwan, broadened the links between our university and our Taiwan counterparts and also broadened the channels and facilitated the students and teachers of ZJSU to study and visit there as well as academic exchange. |
